Fried Dill Pickles

1 cup plain flour

½ teaspoon garlic salt

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

¼ teaspoon salt

1 bowl ice water (very cold)

8 oval dill pickles (sliced)

 

Drain pickle slices and blot dry with paper towel.  Combine drt ingredients, then form a batter by adding ice water till “pancake batter” consistency is achieved. Dip pickles into batter, and drop into deep fat fryer.  Fry until pickle slices start to lose their “white” color. Remove and drain on paper towel.  Great with horseradish or ketchup!
