Fish/Chicken Strip Batter

¾ cup plain flour

2 tablespoons cornstarch

¼ teaspoon baking soda

¼ teaspoon baking powder

¼ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon pepper

¾ cup very cold water

 

In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients and blend well. Dip fish or chicken in batter, let excess drain off, then place into deep fat fryer.  Fry till golden brown!
